One of the Prettiest Looks for Fall + Winter

Bold, but true. I did this look, what I will dub the “winter princess” on one of my friends this past weekend, and I was so pleased with how it turned out. It incorporates an illuminated eye, glowing skin, and a bright red lip – reminiscent of a look featured at a past Burberry show.

So the great things about this makeup is not only is it stunning, it is also really easy to do. All you have to do is apply your base makeup as usual [perhaps using something on the dewy side], and apply a good amount of highlighter to the tops of cheekbones; I used Tom Ford’s Shade and Illuminate. Next, apply a light nude of champagne shimmer shadow to the center of your lids, and inner corners. I used the shades Nude and Champagne from the Lorac Pro Palette. To further brighten the eye area and add a little extra sparkle, I patted the illuminate shade from the Tom Ford palette to the inner corners of the eyes, as well.

On the lips I used one of my favorite, creamy reds – Sephora’s Luster Matte Long-Wear Lip Color in Scarlett Luster. I applied this straight to the lips, without lip liner. A few coats of Maybelline Full ‘N Soft Mascara and a touch of soft pink blush [I used Mac Dainty] later, and ta-da! A gorgeous, chic cold-weather look perfect for pairing with chunky knits or sleek black dresses.
